I see pilot (the captain) suicide a little differently. Zaharie was a supporter of the PKR, who's leader (Ibrahim) was done on a charge of sodomy on the Friday. That charge is known in Malaysia as dodgy and orchestrated by the govt. The PKR want political reform in Malaysia which will never happen with the current/only govt. independent Malaysia has ever had.

Obviously crashing the plane in a suicide bid is essentially an open/cut case meaning comparitively very little spotlight is shone on Malaysia's incompetence. Crashing it in a hard place to reach/search will and has brought the world down on Malaysia and shown it up. Also, it may never be conclusively established as a suicide, therefore his family doesn't lose the all important 'face' and insurance will have to pay up.

Not to mention, putting eveyone to sleep and ultimately himself is a much nicer way to go vs pointing the nose to the ground and charging into it.

This is just a theory based on what I know of Malaysia and the facts that have surfaced of course.

Here's my theory,

It was taken by remote control, climbed to 45k to incapacitate everyone on board, then flown to Diego Garcia, under the cover of darkness.

Repainted/wrapped/whatever they can do quicker, fitted with new transponders and flown on to some mystery destination.

People discount Diego Garcia because it's open and probably watched by most of the worlds military satellites, and the residents would have to be in on it.

-it's a massive Air Force base, jets coming and going, even at night, are a normal occurrence.
-every one knows satellites and their routes, plus who knows what anti-sat tech the yanks have these days.


Motive?

Who knows, rumours range from the 20 electronic warfare employees, to stolen Russian nuclear weaponry, to Rothschilds and their patent shenanigans...

Seriously, Diego Garcia? Flights are not 24/7 and due to limited paring space, every flight is controlled as much as Heathrow or JFK. Even the CIA didn;t risk running black flights with terrorists to Gitmo through there due to potential for "leaks" by general ops personnel. Time people looked at anaother island or country. I would say one of the disused WW2 Japanese or Allied bomber strips in the Andamans or maybe a former soviet base in Khazikstan or a remote Pakistani airfield.

Pakistan could use it as a flying bomb into one of India's nuclear facilities and be able ot deny any knowledge and blame it on a terrorist group.

Three pieces of debris washed up on a West Australian beach are being examined to determine if they are plane wreckage from MH370.

Nine News Perth reports three objects, one the length of a car with "distinct rivets", washed ashore 10km east of Augusta, about 320km south of Perth.

The debris was found by someone who was walking on the beach a few days ago and who notified police yesterday.

Local police in Busselton have since secured the debris and notified the Joint Agency Coordination Centre and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau.

The bureau was studying photographs of the material and had also passed on the images to the Malaysian investigation team.

PerthNow reports that the coast along the Hardy Inlet, where the discovery was made, is isolated and unreachable on foot, but is popular with four-wheel-drivers and trailbike riders.

Augusta Sea Rescue commander Paul Higginson said his volunteers would begin a sea search tomorrow if requested by WA Police.

But WA police have warned against jumping to conclusions, saying items of interest had been previously reported after washing up on a WA beach and had turned out to be unrelated to the missing Malaysia Airlines flight.

ATSB chief commissioner Martin Dolan also played down the find, which he said appeared to be sheet metal.

"It's sufficiently interesting for us to take a look at the photographs," Mr Dolan told CNN.

"The more we look at it, the less excited we get."

The search for the plane continues in a vast area of the Indian Ocean northwest of Perth and authorities have previously said it's more likely the prevailing currents would take debris west toward Africa rather than east to the Australian coast.

Prime Minister Tony Abbott said yesterday the search would continue while there was a reasonable hope of finding something.

"Australia will not rest until we have done everything we humanly can to get to the bottom of this mystery," he told reporters.

The Boeing 777 went missing on March 8 with 239 people on board.

Depends on who you ask and what you believe.

There are talks about lawsuits against Malaysian Airlines and now Boeing but I can't understand what case you can build without knowing where the plane is let alone what caused it.

NASA also have a low earth orbiter that is coming up on 300 days of service, yet there is no imagery of the missing plane????????

Yes, too many people think the open ocean is just like you see looking out from the beach on a calm day.

In fact when you're standing on the deck or on the bridge of even a quite large ship in deep open oceans, it can often be a case of water-sky-water-sky-vomit-water-sky-roll-roll the other way-roll-pitch-water-sky-vomit again-water...and so on ad-infinitum...

Very rare it's glass smooth out there.

Satellites are very good when they are specifically looking for something.

They do not monitor every square inch of the earth permanently. At a guess there might be 3,000 planes in the sky right now. The chances of any of them being photographed are a lottery.
