At the end of the day it's an EA and they were not the best part of Falcon history, though being 1990 it will be series II with fixes (and the four-speed if auto, but the early four-speed had problems).

The engine output made it up near the impressive EB II S-XR6.
G'day , Found this to do with Brocky's Ford offerings . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMq8WRVCKKQ . I didn't mind the EA . Trouble is with the early six cylinder 3.9 litre donks it was infamous for the not so great EFI until multi point rectified that and the perennial slagging from the Red Camp referring to 'wing nuts' instead of head bolts because head gaskets would fail so often.
All that said the EB and ED turned out to be bloody good cars and then the EF and EL followed suit..Never had any Falcon between my 84 XE and my 96 EF but I know plenty who rated the EB and ED pretty well. Early issues aside for the EA 6 cylinder but it paved the way for pretty good cars to follow so should not be discounted.

There was one other Falcon that sold pretty well and I remember jealously admiring the Ghia version with the less conventional instrumentation among other things..The dear old XF...Didn't mind these old girls. This was loaded by someone 'over the dutch' and it's a classy Fairmont Ghia if ever there was.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yD50cgVaYr4 AND the S Pack XF wasn't a bad jigger either in it's day.
Cheers Rod.

Very surprising that car still exists. AFAIK the only Falcon Brock ever raced and he led the race at one stage.

Only one I recall seeing was a red one in the foyer of the Adelaide Casino - was the main prize in some competition they were running back in the late 80s.

Have probably seen a few since but never taken notice.
