Me using the word "ghey" doesn't translate to the meaning people may think, its a term used by us(me) younger generation. Here,

Ghey (definition) - Colloquial term originally created by the students of St. Leonard’s College to condescend Chumma (a person who is clearly ghey). It developed new meaning amongst peers and can now be used as both a playful compliment (which can sometimes cause confusion amongst people who are unaware of its meaning or when not used in the correct tone) and a derogatory description of an event, person or object. It is pronounced differently to ‘gay’, similar to the first sound bite (it does not rhyme with day). It has no homosexual connotations and its derogatory nature implies more that something is lame, stupid, unjust or just plain ‘ghey’.

One day it will be in the dictionary between ghetto blaster and Ghiberti where it rightly belongs, as it is somewhere between gangstaness and culture.

* "Ya ghey"
* Amy and Loz exclaim cheerily and in high-pitch "Ya ghey!" Lucy sarcastically replies "you guys are so ghey"
*Chumma's foolish acts of throwing eggs in Southland (a shopping centre) make it clear that he is truly ghey, and not in the complimentary sense

(I just love uban dictionary)

But questioning someone's intelligents over a word they use, quote "How intelligent, calling something gay." is lacking knowledge themselves.

But i should of added to my first post, Leave the stickers if you personally like them, its your car and you can do what ever you like to it. Who really cares what other people think aslong as you like the way it looks.

/end
ghey is gay....

I've got a dealership sticker on the back of my car that I'm too lazy to take off, and I've got number plate frames advertising a forum I'm an administrator on, thats about it for my car.

I was going to put the whiteline sticker on my car, then I decided against it.

Excess stickers like the ones on the mirrors are not ideal

The back window sticker is way too large in my opinion

Not a fan at all

I'm on the fence for the mirrors, I think they are a little lacking in style, I mean there's the work XR6 all over the car already in just plain letters, maybe if you had a sticker a bit more customized like on the wing I'd like the mirrors more.

The wing, that's cool, it's a bit like the FPV design but more custom and unique, the BUDDY, nope, looks like someone graffiti'd it on there, it's just not car style at all, something I'd expect to see on a van that's advertising something trying the wow factor..

Maybe redo it in the sort of more professional and smaller style and it'd be all good.

I have the same one on the bottom of my back window, and a small AWC sticker just above it. They've been Fibresports for years now, and I just haven't bothered to remove it.
Both are pretty much hidden by the spoiler anyway.

I'm not a fan of big stickers on cars. Looks tacky, but each to their own.

I rather a clean car with visual modifications that aren't stick on.

But I can appreciate what people put on their cars because I think sometimes it's rather tasteful.

But you can't go wrong with a clean car, so it's works for me.

Each to their own, I don't mind small subtil stickers

Currently on the back of the XR8

"like" a boss

Though it was a clever play on words considering the Boss under the bonnet

Have a sticker on the back of my classic Mini:
Made in Australia contains no German ingredients.
Just a little dig at BMW.
Wouldn’t have any stickers on the outside any of my other cars. Don’t mind performance type stickers (Have Kazz and BPT performance) under the bonnet or boot lid.

I love reading these personal opinion threads, always entertaining.
What do you reckon now Buddy after reading all this?
If it was my car i'd take off the 'XR' stickers...mainly cos the car is already badged 'XR' and "Falcon, so people already know what your driving, and from an artistc point of view it doesn't do anything for me.
I've wanted to put a sticker of my bands name on my rear window, out of pride... and advertising ;) and that is completly personal, like your 'Buddy' sticker, so id say keep it if it means something to you.

Stickers on rear glass. - No issue as long as they are a good size and not too eye catching to traffic behind you.
*if you back in to me, claim you couldn't see me and your car has a sticker covering 80% of the rear glass.... there would be words said.

Everything else is personal taste but be aware, I'll be laughing at you from my car.
Stuff that comes factory - Yeah okay.
An AU/BA/FG XR with GT stripes.... sorry, but I'm just laughing at you.

Depends on what stickers for me. I like my car. To me it's clean simple and sort of ties all the features of my car together. Lots of black accents on it.

To each their own though.

Apart from the bonnet decals, the only stickers I have on mine is Allan Moffet's and Dick Johnson's signatures on the rear windscreen. I like keeping my cars clean of things like that.

I’m not a fan of stickers on cars.

The only stickers on my cars are rego stickers but each to their own I guess.

I don't think words are needed here:
http://www.motifake.com/image/demoti...301888768.jpeg

I read through this thread and I have to say, it's all quite interesting. The bottom line is if it makes you happy and you like it, keep the stickers.

I prefer clean, unstickered cars. I've seen some subtle stickers that looked pretty good. They were small, usually placed on quarter windows or on the corner of rear windows.

p.s. Just wondering, what does "BUDDY" stand for? Maybe in a different font and smaller it would be ok. It is kinda HUGE right now. imho.

I've always contemplated putting a small southern cross on the read quarter window.

But I'm concerned about being labeled a bogan or lad haha, as there is a rather hate towards them on the road and towards their cars.

The only stickers you ever see on true performance cars (those of the track variety) are paid for by companies i.e. Sponsorship. Unless you are receiving a retainer or massive discounts for automotive parts or a mechanics workshop, there's no need or justification for stickers (unless it's 2001 and you're in Fast and the Furious).

When Ian McCallum et al design beautiful cars such as the next Aston and reveal them with chitzy window/bonnet/mirror stickers, I'll review my position.

Yes there is, it's called personal preference.

The same as some people think the Ford's are the best looking car on the road others think Holden's are.
