Why bother, you are just making these bastards more money for something that is probably left over animal fat from an abattoir.

I totally agree with you, although I almost succumbed to temptation. I was about to jump in the company barge and wander my way down to KK's on Thursday and the faken car wouldn't start. Even the car isn't letting me destroy my innards for a sweet, overly processed treat.

P.S I was rapt that the cursed thing wouldn't start. Sleep in yesterday cause I had no way of getting to work (so I told the boss). YAY me!!

I was in Fountain Gate earlier today and drove past the KK doughnut shop. The line of waiting cars was still ridiculously long. I'll wait a couple of months until all the fuss subsides.

I was there last night as it was a meet point for a car cruise and the line was ludicrous. I ended getting a donut from a guy that had just waited two hours to buy 4 boxes.
Honestly they're not that good, I get better deserts here at home. It ain't worth a 10 minute wait let alone 2+ hours.

Went last night at 12.30am to find 200+ cars in the line, we parked the car and went to talk to people in the line, one bloke waited 3 hours last night. We paid some bloke $40 to grab us 3 boxes so we only waited for about 15 mins :-)

You poor sod waiting 2.5 hours for some dough.

I thought I was the only one who felt that way about the damn donuts! The texture is awesome, but they're definitely not what they're all cracked up to be. I'll stick to pineapple donuts from Safeway :

poeple only end up waiting that long because they have nothing better to do.
sitting in a car with some mates talking **** waiting for some donuts is about as fun as driving along a freeway anyway, only its cheaper and theres 100 cars doing it with you.
I also think a lot of people wait 30mins, realise its gunna be a long wait but figure they've waited this long anyway so whats the point in leaving.
saying that, 1 hour+ for donuts, never again

Pffft John, stop making excuses because you waited so long :P I can think of much more entertaining, comfortable, fulfilling ways to talk **** with mates hehehe.

I just had a mate (who is always trying not to conform to society funnily enough) call me up to tell me they waited in line for two hours... They copped an earful haha!

I'm about to go pick up the inlaws from the airport, they flew from QLD via Sydney. Told them to drop into Krispy Kreme in Sydney airport to grab a box, buggers were shut though. Thought it might be easier to get someone else to line up for me!

I tried a Krispy Kreme doughnut for the first time two days ago and I have to say that they are over hyped. Definately not worth spending hours waiting in a queue.

Sheesh, I can't believe that anyone is willing to queue up for 3 hours just to buy doughnuts for goodness sake!

I'd prefer to head to Coles and get mysef a pack of 4 Herbert Adams jam filled items. MMMMMMMMMMM! A heck of a lot cheaper too, and hardly any wait in the queue, unless you are going on Saturday morning of course! LOL!

Perhaps our culture has just become far too intraverted and self obsessed.

1000's of children all over the world, will die today, 100's while I type this post, because they don't even have a bowl of rice, or clean water.

Perhaps we should watch the ABC or SBS news to get a perspective on just how fortunate we are, and the trillions of things we take for granted!

Don't get me wrong, I love to delight my taste buds, but 3 hours, c'mon! :

My wife got some yesterday, she was in and out in about 2 minutes.
when she said she paid $15 for a dozen I freaked.
when I tasted one I told her that they ripped her off.
The old douhnut van on the side of the road will be fine in the future

I stopped there on my weekly pilgrimage to G & D on Wednesday.
Went through the drive through, it took about 1/2 an hour and thre was a queue out the door and around the building.
I ordered a Krispy Kreme sampler pack, which consisted of 1 dozen original glazed and 1 dozen mixed donuts.
I have had them before, but i can only describe the experience as "better" than having an orgasm.lol

I had the inlaws come down from qld the other week and they flew via Sydney. So, I made them line up and get a sampler pack from the airport.

They would be in their prime when still hot, but they were pretty good, nice and light. Wasnt as big a fan of the assorted ones over the glazed except for the lemon and cream filled one.

I wouldnt line up for them though for longer than a few minutes, which is why I got someone else to!
