Hey guys,
My name is luke and i've been a pretty passionate toyota enthusiast for the last 4 years (im only 18) In the last couple of years i've been coming around to fords mainly cause of the industry i work in (im an engine recodtioner apprentice 2 nd year), and most of the fords i've worked on have been of really good quailty example i pressure tested so so many 4 litre ohc el au cylinder heads etc and only have had ONE leak on me, and again i have never replace valve guides on one of those heads, Now that is a top job by ford i must say One day i hope to build an absolute spastic of a 4 litre dohc in an ba/bf falcon I mainly signed up to this forum to learn as much as i can about fords in particular turboing the straight 6's (like the sohc dohc and ohv ones) At the moment i undergoing putting a sr20 into my 1981 toyota celica :0 will be chasing something like 250-300kw rwkw Heres my celica i painted it a ford colour :P And my everyday car my cressida Luke |

Hey guys I have been reading these forums for a while now so I thought its about time I introduce myself and my rides. First is my 79 XD which I bought in 1994 when I was 18 it was my first car and in my opinion the XD is the best of the Aussie Fords so I will always hang on to this one. It was a 6 cylinder auto in Fairmont trim when I got it and since then I have done the V8 conversion added power steering and also done a manual (toploader of course) conversion. 10 years after being built the old 351 clevo is still pumping out 400 plus horsepower and embarassing late model high performance cars. It does need a freshen up as you can see from the pics but I won't be touching it until I have finished with my current project which brings me to my other ride which is a 74 XB Falcon and GT wannabe.
I am a huge fan of the XBs which I think is one of the toughest looking muscle cars around and I have wanted one like this for a long time. I am in the process of restoring it as best I can. This will include a full respray and fully rebuilt 393 cleveland stroker hopefully around 500HP. I hope by posting in these forums I will be able to get some advice from the experienced ford people here and maybe someone will be able to pick up some ideas from what I am doing with my cars Cheers Ryan |

Oh and dazza, if you want to post pics instead of links, copy and paste the [IMG] code instead, also, as you can imagine everyone loves pics so make sure you post plenty!

I wasn't gonna post anything but jaydee made me feel bad!
Welcome to AFF even though i'm sure you know your way around well and truly by now. Nice choice in cars! Go the AU, finally getting the respect it deserves.

James, don’t worry as your input to date hasn’t gone unnoticed. You’ve already provided some of the best moments on AFF I can remember.

Hi all, my name is Adam and I'm from Adelaide. Just wanted to say g'day and tell you about my latest aquisition. On Saturday I picked up a 1967 Falcon Hearse. It's done 74000 miles and is in top condition, including all the coffin rollers and stops, etc. It has a 289 Windsor, column auto and, apart from the old retreads, drives like a dream. Drove it back from Whyalla to Adelaide (about 5 hours) in 40 degree heat and it never missed a beat!
This isn't my first old Ford (had an XM a while back) but it's my first V8 Ford. It's going to be lowered, I've ordered a set of Boyd Coddington 17's and will cop a few engine mods and then we're cruuuuuisin'! I'll upload some photo's soon. Take it easy! |
