Oh man I've got heaps!

1. At every set of traffic lights and electronic pedestrians crossings were men underground controlling the lights. I used to push the crossing button repeatidly to annoy them.
2. Sleeping with someone meant sleeping in the same bed as them.
3. The Mitsubishi V3000 had a 3000 things that made it go fast where as a Ford V8 only had 8, I didn't get the fuss over V8s when this bland looking Mitsi would be atleast 10 times faster!
4. Audi's were made and sold to fund the Olympics.
5. All files on a computer that ended in .jpeg were porn (big brothers for you).
6. Jesus wrote every bible by hand.

I remember my wifes friend tricking her sister into thinking dog poo was chocolate.

I also remember tricking my kid sister into thinking tabasco sauce was miniature tomato sauce.

i dunno how i came to this conclusion when i was young but...

I thought the power stations in my area were cloud makers and when there were no clouds, they were broken.

LOL.. some of these are great.

Ok dad had an XA Falcon. I thought the fan behind the radiator was what actually made the car GO, as in, like a propeller on a plane!

Hmmm I didnt sleep for days after watching a documentary, saying that polar bears ran faster than humans.. so naturally I was on the look out to get as much of a head start as possible...

Remember StarWars? That octopus looking thing that was below the junk and water in the garbage compactor?? Yup, one of those lived under the local tip...

I thought your food fell into a frying pan within your body, sorta where one would assume a stomach was...

1m/h=2km/h, so naturally dads previously mentioned XA was the fastest car on the street, as the max speed (in Miles) was really doubled in Km...

Those house alarm sensors, the ones that sit in the corner of a room with a red and green light. I though that the blinking green light was the sensor, and the red light was an eye that was watching you. Naturally I pooped myself when I watched the first Terminator movie...

Meh.. now as an adult there are a whole lot of new silly misconceptions...

Most of the big metal drain cover things in my town have PMC engraved on them, and i was convinced by someone that PMC standed for Poofters Meeting Club, so i had to avoid stepping on it, to not be a poofter. And i still do avoid stepping on them today, just a habbit now i guess?

If you play with fire a ghost will visit you in your sleep and make you wet the bed.

I used to convince my younger cousins when they stayed at my place that there was a monster called Red Eye in the roof that eats people.
He is now my very own Mythological creature.

I have plenty of stories of spirits and such as most of my people come from wilcania, pretty much a ghost town.

Mum and Dad had the great old story, when we would misbehave, about the home for unwanted children. We were never too sure about it, until one day we drove past the RSPCA at Lidcome, with all the dog cages. Mum pointed it out and said "Look, that's where they take you. You live in cages and they feed you once a day". From then on we always behaved in the car.

SBD = silent but deadly

I always ask after doing an SBD, "do you smell something burning?". More often then not, they smell the wrath and the nearly dry reach...........haha hmmmmm Thats disgusting :P

Back on topic, I thought my mates parents XE wagon with a twin system was the best car out, until I got older and found out that the engine was only a 6.

My mum had us conned into thinking that eating uncooked spaghetti would give us worms in the tummy!

About 5 years ago, I was eating some in front of my brother (who around that time was in his late 30's), who looked at me in horror and said, "don't eat that you'll get worms!"

LOL! Classic.
