Well, i suppose i have to go for both the xr and the BA as ive got both. The xr is a 12 sec. streeter in zircon green with weld prostars and the BA is a black 5 speed manual.

I think you've got your Bathurst years confused dude.
The XT lost when a stone put a hole in the radiator of the green XT of Gibson/Seton while comfortably in the lead in 68, and it cooked itself.
The Goodyear tyre hassles were what robbed the XW a victory in 69. Problem was that Ford used Moffat to test the tyres before the race. The problems started when all the other drivers used them, and destroyed them. This came about coz, un-be-known to Ford at the time, Moffat was much easier on the tyres and the car than the others, and he simply didn't have those probs. in testing. What made it even worse was that Moffat could of won, but was firstly told to pit so they could check his tyres coz everyone elses were stuffed, and then ordered him to drive conservitally(sp) to save them. History now shows that if he was allowed to continue as he was before the probs. with the other's tyres, Ford would have won...

Its dissapointing that the XK hasn't got one vote. It is the car they has become what we know it as today, other wise we could be driving Zephers.

I know this is a Ford site and note a dedicated falcon site, but to join as a member and this is the first post, just leaves me wondering....

It is a bit worrying that your avatar is starting to look like one that was used by a certain septic lunatic, Gary........

My favourite falcon has always been the EL XR8 series 2. Never owned one, but one day I will buy one and do her up. Something about them, just 18" wheels, lowered, factory body kit and loud exhaust and they always turn my head. Would have to be regency in colour. Owned three Fords this colour but it looked best on EL XRs.

Just joined your site and find it, so far pretty good.
As for my favourite falcon, I always liked the EB GT. Tuff looking, nice interior, rare, decent width alloys and started the Ford Vs Holden war again by forcing HSV to build a competitor. Love it!!!

My first car was a 78 xc gs falcon 6 pack which changed to mild 302 clevo, but to be honest out of all the clasic fords I would give my right nut to get hold of an orginal xc cobra although I do like the 94 ef ghia 5.0L I have now.

Theydid come out in 6cyl and 302 and 351 manual and auto and i am pretty sure that they came out in a 6cyl turbo ats had their hands in on that 1 and its very rare not to sure of numbers or weither or not they had fords backing on the project or if they were done from a already purchased car.

I love my BA but I really love the old falcons. The shape and style they had. Awesome. In particular I love the XM's, XP's and XY's. They just don't make them like that anymore.
