I can remember "the Ridge" from the early 80's. That french haircut, the Mullet, was in fashion and everyone wanted a pair of "DB's"....Most of us from Boondall to Nashville did though, (no mullet for me though). :
I'll be up visiting the relo's for Easter. Staying at Aspley, and will be spending most days over at Boondall with them.
Vino302, how long have you been at Sandgate? My family's been in the area for 25 or more years. Lived on Lyndhurst Rd Boondall for about the last 20. I'm one of 3 boys and we've all been to Sandgate SHS, and played indoor at Bracken Ridge, so you might know one of us. Mind you, I left after year 11 in '86, my younger brother finished around '89, older in '85.

P.S My older brother's ex-missus used to work the "phantom races" at Geebung RSL. Not a bad club.
Later,

I grew up on the southside at carindale, lived there for 18yrs before moving to northside. I do visit carindale where my folks live but i don't think i could live in the area anymore. Traffic seems to be nuts any time of the day. I have lived on the northside for 15yrs where i moved to Brackenridge then Joyner and now Eatons Hill. Northside is the winner imo.

well we hung around at aspley till 9ish .. and nobody showed.. said hello or anything
so we left for redcliffe.. had a few spirts along the way.. then sat at the esplanade and had a yarn then went to morayfield.. hung a lap.. found them doing an RBT ...
so then proceeded home for the night
was lotsa fun
