Whilst it may be difficult, if people have not moved on from this event, they need to accept the unfortunate reality of the situation.

if they can prove this the families of those lost will be able to sue the a Malaysian Airways for a bundle of cash
some top notch lawyer will make the claim against the airline but there was a report he did have some mental problems before

It looks like they've been searching in the wrong area, Furgo are convinced of this as well. If the Malaysian knew of the information on the HDD's and withheld this piece of information, well, that's poor form.
The search cost to date has been around half the cost of a T7, and much less than the money's allegedly stolen by the Malaysian PM, I think the search should go on until MH370 is found.

Search should definitely continue. There will be a lot learned from it in various aspects of aviation safety etc.
Usually though private searches bring the goods, so if the gov pull out I hope a private firm makes it their mission to find it (like Titanic). It's a pity the Chinese haven't put in more cash into it.

Do you have a link for this? I heard some rumours the last time I was in Singapore but I thought it was just another case of Chinese whispers.

Why? What do we gain? Closure? People die/disappear all the time, their families often never receive any answer as to why. Why are air crash victims special?

We entrust our lives to the folk in seat 0A and 0B to do the right thing. It's pertinent to establish whether it was pilot error, pilot suicide, aircraft fault or something else.

Why? Does it change the outcome for the victims? And regardless, we are now aware because of this and other instances that a pilot's mental state are important for their employers to be aware of, and further, for there to be some sort of means a copilot is able to gain re-entry to the cockpit if the pilot goes postal. We can make all these changes now without having to spend another $100mil on a pointless search.

Robert Ballard done a deal with the US government that if he found their stuff they'd fund him to find the Titanic. (or something along those lines )

The search also brings other things to light, like ocean mapping of the area, other undiscovered shipwrecks, marine research and understanding underwater mountains better.
If you go back to 1987 when a South African 747 crashed not too far from the flight path MH370 took you will find that a new record was made in undersea recovery and technology was built just for purpose of that crash. The flight data recorder was never recovered though, but the CVR was.

well domestic and international flights are still going on and some one said in reality flying is safer than a motor car.
how many deaths world wide and permanent injuries According to the World Health Organization, road traffic injuries caused an estimated 1.25 million deaths worldwide in the year 2010. That is, one person is killed every 25 seconds. Only 28 countries, representing 449 million people (7% of the world’s population), have adequate laws that address all five risk factors (speed, drink–driving, helmets, seat-belts and child restraints). Over a third of road traffic deaths in low- and middle-income countries are among pedestrians and cyclists. However, less than 35% of low- and middle-income countries have policies in place to protect these road users so why do we not complain about this interesting question ?

Flying is only safer because of lessons learned from the past and laws or other changes made as a result.
