Good job. For the record, it looks like you've referred to Honda Accord (rather than Jazz) in the light car section, and Tiida being up some astronomical amount in the small car section - unless you are counting Pulsar and Tiida as one and the same?

There is a lot to be said for the Sedan body style - they look good, quieter inside, more rigid than a hatch. But for so many people the practicality just isn't there. When I said I would never consider one its not because I dont like them, its because I could never justify the outlay for a car that doesn't come close to suiting my requirements. So no need for anyone to get touchy now...
Maybe I should have worded that differently. Sedans are a very long lasting body style, being the original style from over 100 years ago. They're not going anywhere anytime soon. Hatches and SUVs, on the other hand, are much more recent body styles, and I don't think they'll last as long. Just look at what happened with station wagons - they had a long run starting around the 1950s but have basically died off.

... for the record it wasn't either. It was supposed to be the Hyundai Accent. I am treating the Pulsar as replacement for the Tiida given that the latter sold 29 units in Feb in much the same way that the Kuga is replacing the Escape.

Mitsubishi sold 1150 of those new Mirages in their first month. Damn! Just shows that cheap and cheerful seems to work. Unless of course most of them were dealer demos being registered lol.

That is without even considering the X5, X6 and the Cayenne (see the GTS). These will embarass many a sedan. I wouldn't consider many sedans nimble most are basic family run abouts.

What small car have you driven lately that doesn't have the power to go up a hill and has no space? Jeez most of the small cars these days would have been considered medium 20 years ago.

it is fine you like large sedans but you don't have to type unsubstantiated rubbish to justify your choice.
please don't be silly....the terri or any suv may be nice to drive...but the dynamics of a sedan simply don't exsist in an suv. They still may be good but you drive them back to back and the sedan will destroy the suv. Heavier, higher, slower and so on. And as for small cars.....I wont even bother...all they have is cheapness going for them

Each to their own, but I'm pretty confident the small cars that I've purchaced from Ford over the past few years have plenty more going for them than price alone. As an overall package, I think they're superb.

1tuffute... What you smokin son? New outlander is lighter than a Falcon and comparable in size. Likewise the Mazda CX5. Small cars? Go drive a Polo GTi, Golf GTi, Focus ST etc etc and tell me they're cheap and slow. I'm selling some clues if you want one?

You put 4 people in a Mazda3 or a Yaris and you cant overtake and it can certainly take a hill, but not effortlessly by any means. When I mean overtake I refer to brisk overtaking.

Im sure the X6 is a decent handler (for an SUV), but the X6 is as common on the road as hen's teeth. A Kluger/Terri/Rav4 is closer to the typical SUV. You can still use these on the highway, but the Falcon - by my measures - is leaps n bounds ahead for the highway experience I desire.
So you want to compare a XR6T with 270 odd KW against a base model SUV and hatch back...bravo Your credibility is shot and your bias far too obvious, remove the blinkers.
Wouldn't it be better to compare a XT to an equivalent SUV and hatch back because we're talking about practicalities here? I mean you even said it when you didn't want to compare the X6 to the XR6T, apples with oranges
If you want to compare performances then I shall refer you to the Porsche Cayenne GTS, X6, X5 or even the Jeep GC SRT.

What do you mean effortlessly? hmmm? we're not all bogans that need to run up a hill in lightning speed.
I haven't seen any issues with overtaking in modern hatchbacks, it is all dependent on the driver.

So what can a Falcon do on the highway that a Territory/Kluger/any other SUV cannot? Hell for highway driving even your Golf or Focus can do it effortlessly.
