Well. Im a noob (hi!)
I have an AU series 3 falcon ute (traytop, manual) and want to modify it performance wise. Problem is that I also show horses (the animal kind! LOL  ) competitively and use the ute for towing. What kinds of things can I look at doing to my ute without affecting the towing capabilities?? Thanks in advance!

how much do you want to spend? what kind of performance? (drag, circuit, fast street?)
Stick a stroker windsor in it? Capa supercharge it NOS it for strip use only. Twin turbos on a V8?

Well generally you can never decrease a cars towing performance by engine modifications, however, suspension can affect it.
Extractors, high flow cat, and a cat back exhaust should see a few KWs aswell as a better exhaust note. Could also throw in a K&N filter for a better intake sound.. CAI might help aswell. |

IMO, Mild performance cam, 3.73:1 diff gears LSD, extractors and full exhaust, BA XR6T airscoop and K&N air filter and a performance tune. Should be sweet and best of both worlds. If you want to get serious, put a stroked AU V8 in it, it will rip buildings from their foundations, lol.

Wow thanks for all the ideas! I am oing the keep the ute as a daily driving/towing car but I am extremely competitive so want to be able to beat off cars around town
Im 19 so nothing too wildly expensive please
