Default help needed...diff hat/cover removal

hey guys in my other thread i broke my diff hat/cover and i just got one today, but i have a problem removing the old cover, i have undone all the bolts but it just won't come off, i tried prying it with a screw driver but its not working.
my only concern is there is this round thing between the diff drain plug and the other diff bolt , you can see it in the picture below it is at the bottom of the diff , what are they? how do i get them out?

looks like a locating pin to me maybe sealant is holding it on

Mate that is not just a cover it is the diff you will have 2 remove the axels it also carrys the crown wheel

what did you do mate, hit a gutter,
or has the gut's (crown wheel & pinoin) given up?

Is the diff noisy?

thanks au3xr6 , as you said its just guide pins, but because theres one on top and bottom you have to pry the cover off straight, so i had to do both sides at the same time and combined with the old silicon crap on there it was a pain in the back side.

Pursuit, yeap my back wheel hit the gutter in the wet and it knocked the watts linkage off. the hat is alloy so i guess they designed it to break in extreme situations rather than total diff.

Lucky no other damage, make sure you get a El or AU one, as the watts link mount on the cover is in a diffrent position as to a EA to ED, but they all fit.

Our work loan car got kerb sided by a customer it broke exactly the same as yours..You will be very lucky if it hasnt slightly bent the axle which ever side u hit..I recomend u replace that side wheel bearing and axle too..
