my power windows are not power windows any more, they just windows that you need to push down and up by hand, i read on the forum aswell that its the rubber stuff the window slides up and down on, but i change and modified it and there is still no power...and i changed the switches aswell, but still no success.
what else can it be, it only happens some times, sometimes the windows goes up really fast and some times it moves up about 5cm then i have to lift the rest of it up till it closes. thanks |

Could be dying electric window regs, or you may need to lubricate the runners (try this first!)

This hapned to one of my windows on my ef ghia, i ended up replacing the whole motor/lifter assembly.
it was a pretty quik job and cost me $120 for the one door. that was with an aftermarket part official ford parts are about $270 last time i checked. |
