Default Rattling doors

Hi guys, ive got an issue that is starting to drive me crazy. All 4 of my doors have been rattling like hell lately when I go over the slightest of bumps. Being a panel beater by trade, Ive been over many many different thoughts and theories on this, and nothing seems to want to fix it, including a new full set of door and turret rubbers. Any ideas and thought and massively appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Are these rattles the doors clanging away or the seals rubbing away on each other?
My XR8 use to do the same thing - seals creaking etc which meant there was a slight movement in the doors. I sprayed an old rag with silicon spray and wiped down both sides to the door sills and the silence is golden.

Open the doors and lift them up from the ends, see if thats the noise
If you can feel movement, the hinge pins are stuffed, no fix, need new ones
there is a plastic piece in the middle that wears out.
Assuming all hinge bolts are tight naturally, they can come loose also.

This happens to my taxis regularly

Another option is to realign the door catch on the B pillar to hold the door tighter, just loosen torx and move or hit it in the required direction, this will work for a while only but

Jastel and ratman speak the truth
i had an awful rattle from the drivers door
until i realised that all three torx screws were loose on the door catch
so i tightened them up
and hey presto! silence!

just remember, duct tape is silver, silence is golden.

So why do Olympic Gold Medalists carry on so much?

As for the door info... i'll be using that myself when it comes to re-fixing the doors...

My driver's door was rattling like mad so I pulled the door trim off and found a completely rusted ratchet sitting in the bottom of the door!

ratman has the right idea. My AU had this same problem and i sprayed the seals with silicon spray and it worked a treat.

Also as Mr Hardware mentioned, check the torx bolts on the driver's side door catch. Mine were all loose also.

Adam.

Checked all of the above, all are good. Its the doors themselves that rattle on thel ocks. They are adjusted right in, and at the moment, the door catch is right up holding the weight of the door, and it still has the rattles.
