Default Silly misconceptions you had as a kid...

Whenever i saw love hearts around things that said something like

"John 4 Eva"

I used to think it was that John liked a girl called Eva.

I used to think that this Eva girl was really popular cuz so many people like her... Even other girls liked her, lmao

embarrassing to admit, but i laugh at it

I think the biggest misconception everyone had
was believing that our parents knew everything.
Lucky for me I do know everything and my eldest
boy will vouch for it.

When people mentioned the 'old days', I always thought things back then were in black and white. Seriously.

When I got my old XD ESP, our old GM in the business 'helped' encourage the bank to give me (young me and first 'hot' car) a loan. Anyway, after I got the car he saw me driving down the road and told me next day it looked like it was going 'sideways' all the time. My gut reaction in my inexperience I thought he was implying the car was bent and repaired, didnt reflect on it til years later and figured he was actually complimenting her

Dumbest thought Ive ever had, bar none.

I thought TV completely stopped and went black at around 10pm, then I found out it went all night and morning, then I found out recently it did actually used to stop in the early hours of the morning!

I used to think robbers were only in America.

I used to think a certain breed of pigs really could fly!

I used to think every blokes name was 'Dave' apart from my dad cause I lived in a small country town street, and the other two houses on the street had blokes called dave in them

I once thought England and America were the same country, (LOL).

...And at one stage I also thought people get married so they can drive a car.

I used to think actors on TV shows were actually people being spied on and aired on TV. I used to feel glad I didn't live near a TV station because people in America might watch us on TV.

Now I remember another one...

I once thought any car panted red was a Ferrari and any car panted green darker than the mint green ZL Fairlanes came in were Chevs because we have a 1959 Bell Air and it's green. I had a toy Dodge Charger like the General Lee of the Dukes of Hazard but green and I used to call it a Chev, LOL.

I used to think that if a car had dual exhausts that it was a really really fast car and also the driver could turn one side of the exhaust off when they didn't want to go fast.

I used to think that TV shows were different at each different place. For instance On Channel 7 at our place might have been time for the news, but If I went to maybe our neighbours place channel 7 at the same time might have had cartoons on.
