Hows that - a Korean car wins against the Euro.
GM have done magic with the Cruze, needless to say which one would last longer?

Holden have a lot to overcome given the bad reputation of the earlier Cruz car they launched a few years ago. That said the Koreans can build good cars when they want to. The road test reports suggest the Focus is a better ride/handling car.

It will be interesting to see what it will cost when they begin building the cruze down here. And then compare it to the Focus when they are being built here...

Out of curiosity I checked out the Holden website, 16 inch alloys for the Cruze CD is a $1,760 option, that would push the diesel CD's price up to $25,750 for the manual and $27,750 for the automatic.
This trims down the $4,300 price gap between the Cruze CD diesel and Focus TDCi to $2,540. |

And consider that you get that fancy pants DSG auto in the focus for that price and the gap closes just a little more.
I would imagine the auto in the cruze would be a run of the mill jobbie?

Something Tj just mentioned makes me think about the marketing of the Focus Diesel that's current. One, no mention that the Engine is a Turbo Diesel just mentions it's a Diesel. Two, no mention of the brilliant current-technology DSG that I know of.
Oversight or what?
