Default rear map lights

Just today decided to replace the bulbs in the rear map lights thinking that was the reason why they didn't work but no luck, is the wiring in the roof prone to screwing up? Anyone successfully fixed these?

It wouldent be the wiring...
Theres a plastic bit in the switch mech which tends to melt/break.
Mine did the same thing, fixed it by cutting a small peice of coathanger and putting it into the hole where the plastic was suposed to be, and then made sure the coathanger peice didnt move by putting some blutack in the hole around the peice.

It seems to work for me :P

You could always go buy a part from ford...
