Slight problem with that - it's a ute (charcoal XR6 interior, not leather).
Does the overhead console/sunglass holder thing normally just "float" on the headlining? Wondered if it could have been from that. |

I was just working on my wife's Mazda 6 & came across almost the exact same clip. There were 3 of them used to retain the headlining across the rear windscreen area.

They are similar to ones I've seen in the engine bay. carpet clips?

Neither were pushed home, so I did wonder if they were discarded from an assembly used on other models and differently employed in the Falcon. The carpet definitely hasn't been up since January 2006, can't say before then.
