Even tho I missed out on tickets I'll be heading down to the Overflow at Homebush to watch it on the big screen. I watched the first game at the Enmore Theatre with probably 2000 odd people so tonight the collective voice of 100,000 will be fantastic. GO AUSTRALIA!!!!

We actually had a discussion about this at work today.

If the Aussie players came back for the friendlies and whatnot, and had more time to bond as a team and get to know how to read each other, we might actually have a chance.
But all they really care about is the big $$$ they get playing in Europe, and not getting hurt, so that they can play for their club teams.
Just seems like a bit of a half-a$$ed effort.

Having talented players is good, but if they don't work together as a team, then it's useless.

Fair point, but in the middle of a european season a) the player and b) the club don't want the player to be travelling halfway around the world for a meaningless friendly against the solomon islands etc

hence why Australia's friendlies are now being played in London.
