Hey everyone,
I recently found an EL Falcon for sale in my suburb for a price of $7,500 (he has allready offered it to me for 7k). I am going to inspect the car within the hour but It has 17" Genuine Ford Rims, JVC dvd Head Unit (just hu, no LCD), lowered, upgraded parcel shelf speakers and has 145,000km. Its very straight/clean being white (as shown in the photos) and the interior looked very good condition when i peaked through the window (will post the condition once i sit in the car!) Does it seem like a good buy? I mean you can get a GLi with those sort of km for $5,000 normally here (in WA, Perth area) and the condition isn't to shabby (apart from the slight damage as shown in the pics i took) What do we all think? Cheers in advance! Jason |

Not too bad and pretty decent kms too. It's already got a few mods so if you're willing to pay a bit more for the modifications hes done, then go for it.

Don't worry, false alarm, just inspected car and really ИИИИ condition :togo:
tires were pretty bald, slight rust occuring at the door hinges, smoke ashes on the seats (still cigaretes in the ash tray) and the stearing wheel was heavily worn etc etc Got to hate people who don't look after their cars! |

$7k is too much. I bought my '97 EL over 18 months ago for $7700. It only had 126,000kms on the clock, factory rims (the xr8 type), 2 good 2 50% 225/55 r16 tyres , lowered, dark tint, good pioneer deck & apline splits. Was in a really dire need of a service and needed a tailpipe for the exhaust, (that was only $250), plus still needs shocks and brakes, but most s/h cars when you buy them will need things like that anyway.
They're basically giving falcons away now due to the high price of fuel, I saw a decent 1997 EL (though 220,000km on the clock) going for $4k ono edit Music_Pirate: check out Twisted ELs car for sale in his sig Last edited by fo3oz; 19-04-2006 at 12:42 AM. |

I just paid $3k for mine (see sig) It has near new tyres, LPG, 10month rego. It does have a bit of a scrape down one side and has 270k kms but it was a great buy.

260,000 isn't too bad I had someone look at my car who was driving an EF that had done 420,000 and it was still kicking along

I paid almost that for an EL Ghia with a few of the bits listed in my sig, with 177,000kms. Just to give you an idea. This was only a month or so ago
