2 cars. The blue XR6 i was able to get down to 10,500, however he tells me that there is a few sctatches and dints.
The red one looks nice but one problem, Its auto. Few things im wondering. * How much is it to probably get these dints and straches reparied * How much is a paint job * How much is it to change an auto to a Manual * What is your overal oppinion about the two cars. * Also it seems like the owner of the blue car has worked on it and says its more powerful then yuor standard xr6 98'. Or would the red one be just as good? * Also would it be possible for you to look at the features on the Blue Xr6 and tell me if the red one would equal most if not all these features. And is it me or does the red one look different to the Blue one...not in colour of course but the overall shape...the red one "looks" like a better shape then the blue one or is my eyes playin tricks? Blue EL. http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsa...h_distance=500 Red EL http://www.autotrader.com.au/photodisplay.asp If these links dont appear so you can click straight away on them i appolagise for i dont know how to fix it. If someone could quote and fix it or something i would appreciate it. Please help me mates! : Last edited by Dave23; 23-04-2006 at 10:13 PM. |

Definately feeling the look of the Blue one, and the fact it's already manual saves many more $ than converting.
Dints and scratches are easy fixed.

When you look at the features of the blue car. Would the red one most likely have the same or has he done a fair bit of work to the blue one

It really is going to be a personal choice in the end. I personally would never own a red car, I simply don't like the colour.. But that is a personal choice. I really like the look of the blue one and scratches & dents are not a big deal (depending on how deep the scratches and big the dents are). Take them both for a test drive if possible, and make your mind up from there. Sit in both, try using your imagination of how you would feel owning each one... Good luck, they both have good points and it really is going to come down to your OWN personal opinion... Cheers Kerri

do you want a body kit on blue one if you buy it?
Id take the blue one just because its a manual already (make sure it was a factory manual) also look at the KMS on both....The Auto isnt such a down point. both look like great examples of these fine cars.

LSD, leather steering wheel, tickford engine and suspension are factory standard and the wheels as he said were the optional ones. By saying its faster than the XR8 equivilant he means the stock 1/4 times of EF/EL XR6's are better than EF/EL1 XR8's. The red one has all the same gear + a bodykit (assuming stock exhaust though). The only difference is its auto |

my bro bought a el xr6 in that red color, 108,xxx km's body is 99% mint and if i was to buy an xr6 and had a choice between that blue and that red the red would be the way to go, its easier/less time to change an gearbox then send it off to the panel beaters, and would cost u more going to the panels beaters as they generally charge 70 bucks per dint/scratch. as long as the red ones body is nice then get that IMO

Id go the red. Those body kits are 1k by themselves after painting and fitment.
manual conversions are a dime a dozen these days. $1200 drive in auto drive out manual. However, i see a 14k price tag on it. Sorry but i would limit that to about 10k..

you can see on the lower section of the bars there is an addon lip, there is also the side skirts fitted.
the bodykitted EL should also have a different spoiler.
