Default Engine's done!

Well last week we finally got the majority of the engine back together (big thanx to John for his help). Still a few odds and ends to bolt up such as the overflow bottle, drive belt, bonnet latch, thermo's etc, but other than that pretty much everything has been done.

Despite or best efforts to hide all the wiring and hoses, it still does look fairly busy, but IMO a big improvement on what it used to be like. Most of the hoses and wiring on the intake side has been redirected under the manifold (tho this is not overly obvious in the pictures). For those with a keen eye, you will notice the ABS module were the battery used to be. Not the prettiest looking peice of equipment, but i plan to have a polished cover made for it, aswell as for the overflow resevoir. Still debating whether to keep the belt shroud black or whether to paint it the same colour as the car, but that's a later problem. I will post some better pics of it in the sun (i know i keep saying that and never get around to it).

Apart from that, work has commenced on the rear bar and side skirts, which isn't exaclty a huge job, so with any luck i will soon be posting pictures of the car complete with bodykit.

Hey Steve, coming together nicely.

Do you still need me to look at the brake line?

Also how are you controlling the inlet manifold?

Looks great Steve, bet you're hanging to get it finished now!

Is that an AU ABS module/brake lines, or the E-Series one?

No internal work has been done, other than a bit of head work (if you call that internal). As for cost, the blower kit cost me about $3000, while the gas setup and cooler + piping was about $4000. Then there's exhaust, cam, headwork etc etc. The blower is a powerdyne...

There's actually no wiring visible so far other than the few odd cm's at the end of plugs etc. All the clutter seen comes from vacuum hoses, which their are ALOT of.
