Default AirBox ?

I was hoping someone could please explain if there is a such thing as too much cold air induction into the std airbox and if this would effect off the line performance??
As i have just done a new airbox modification that has 2 intakes, 1 is the xr style above radiator intake and the other is a fabricated 3" intake recieving it's cold air from front of the car??
The car has alot of top end and pulling power but has got worse off the line??
Any info would be a great help..

Thanks,

if you also have an exhaust the best thing to consider would be getting an edit to make use of the extra intake and exhaust available...unless you only have the std exhaust in which case i'd look at going aftermarket first
