ok this might seem like a stupid question, but it's one i don't know the answere to.
Do ford australia measure the power on their vehicals from the flywheel or rear wheels? |

As EF said, the figures quoted when talking about the power figures are flywheel. The power figure is an average of a sample of engines they put on the dyno.

and then it becomes confusing as Holden use a different typre of measurement when it comes to kW ratings as well ... compared to Ford.

why cant we just all get along on the dyno and make the readings from the wheels... who cares if the numbers dont sound as big still its a more acurate reading

ah cheers fellors so any1 know wat the series one forte's were? from the rear wheels? guessing it would be the same as far back as the ef because i dont think it changed?

which works out to about what HLC has in his signature ... it can vary between 110-120 rwkw though ... depends on the tune of the vehicle and how well it has been looked after. Also the auto can give a slightly lower reading than the manual due to stall converter robbing a few kw.
