hey guys so i've decided to free up a bit more money for the ute.
the budget is $2000, i was thinking of getting the interior retrimmed, I've seen a pic of Gonz's car and like the look of the results. But im open to suggestions! I have an AU XLS ute V8 has twin custon exhaust system pacemaker headers and CAI Cheers Chad |

Depends what you want mate!
Do you want it to accelarate better, brake better, handle better, nicer interior, rims etc etc. Only you can decide!

What about a LSD with an upgraded ratio, or do you use the ute for work? I have 3.73 ratio LSD in mine and it was a great upgrade, definitely improved acceleration.

already has LSD, not sure of the ratio though, i imagine its just the standard ratio
seriously concidering the edit and thinking about manual conversion.. i'm guessing swapping a manual from AU2 to AU1 is a straight swap... |

Go the edit - minimum 10, and usually around 20rwkw to be gained.

I would have thought getting a decent set of brakes under it would be more useful ... although EDIT is very tempting ... I'd rather sort myself out with decent brakes first ... and then up power later.

$2000 would get you a cam installed. Would certainly wake up the XLS.
What diff ratio did the XLS come with?

The thing with doing the interior is the fact i work on the work site and it can get quite dusty/muddy, wouldn't want to ruin the new leather ;)
Does anyone know if a 5 speed manual from an I6 can go into my V8? JC mentioned Imput shafts, is there anything else that needs to be done? |

possibly bellhousing, i don't know if they would be the same, also i don't know if the box itself would be strong enough to handle the extra power and torque
