I am wondering if there is any internal (stregth) differences between these 2 boxs in the au's. I understand the bell housing is alot different but im looking for a manual conversion and i have heard the gearbox's are the same but dont want to buy just to have it explode the first time a give it a stab. I always thought they were different??? : : : :
Any info would be good

I know the gearing is slightly different but I can't remember exactly how I think it might be just 1st & I think there might be some other differences to up the torque rating of the V8 ones too.

I can't say anything about the AU boxes, but I know the the E-series T5's have a different input shaft between I6 and V8 boxes...
