Default Restored XY Panno, what is it worth?

A Mate of mine has just completed a resto on a 72 windowless XY panel van. It has had a bare metal respray inside and out, painted in wild violet. all the interior is new, including the head lining that goes through to the back of the panno. The running gear is basically standard 6 cylinder stuff.

As there is not many XY pannos around these day I was wondering what you guys link it would be worth?

There are plenty of unknowns here ie - rego, age of driveline, brakes, mags, a/c pwr steer etc....

But I would suspect if it looks neat it will be somewhere between $7500 and $12,000 maybe $15000 if someone really loved it and it was ultra neat. I think it would be woth more as a V8

Fair call. It was a top notch resto, I'll take a few photos and post them up some time this week.

Thanks for your comments guys.

It sounds like a grouse car. If he wants to sell for good money, and is in no rush, he could do worse than get Shannons to include it in their next auction. Put the reserve on that he wants and see what happens. Lately it seems the left-field cars are getting more interest than the established classics.
