Hey Guys,
I am looking at upgrading from my wade 1004@112 cam to a Dev 5 cam and possibly the dev 5 head, i was wondering if my chiptorque chip is going to be of much advantage with this setup, the car is a ef fairmont auto. could you please give me a rough price for the dev5 cam, head, valve springs, vernier gear etc. fitted and tuned (i know you guys dont do chiptorque so ill look after that part) Cheers Adam Last edited by DUMTEF; 06-06-2005 at 12:48 AM. |

Do it yourself if you are on a budget.
The labours the big expense if you want the experts at JMM who charge well but what they are worth. May take longer and so on but you could probably rope in a few FF members to help and thats what makes modding cars fun doing it yourelf with a few mates isn't it? For the budget the bits are: DEV Hi-Performance Camshaft $490 Vernier Adjustable Cam Gear $180 Hydraulic Lash Adjuster repair kit $30 DEV Hi-Performance Valve Springs $220 DEV-AU Valve Spring Retainers $132 DEV Race-Series Cylinder Head $1,500 or DEV "Sports" Performance Cylinder Head $950 Multi Layer Steel-Head Gasket $100 Complete Engine Gasket Set, includes Steel H/Gasket $220 |
