Default clogged up window switches

greetings people,

been a long time lurker and low level poster since joining after buying an AU3 Forte a couple of years ago. Haven't done much to it, except upgraded to Sony headunit and speakers, and 17inch alloys.

Anyway finally decided to have a crack at servicing the thing myself, and thanks to the forum, found it quite easy, with guideance from a mate in the know, to change oil filter, replace oil, and flush cooling system etc.

Anyway today my window switch packed up, and once again thanks to the forum, I had the switch out, cleaned and back in and working all in 20 mins.

The point of this post however is I was amazed at the amount of crap in the switches!! I wonder if anyone has thought of making rubber boots around the switch holder on the door to prevent some of the crap falling in?

ill be doing window switches today and replacing a bulb in my center dash...the ac light is not working. wet weather (as it has been for the last 2 weeks) has been the instigator in this as i have now run out of things to do that doesnt involve needing dry weather.....damn rain!!!! at least dams are filling up, so thats a good thing.

I just find it weird especially since I keep my interior spotless...to the point where it scares my friends haha. Ah well, hopefully won't have to do it again for a while.
