Default Au or Ba manual station wagon??

Hi Does anybody know if ford made a manual station wagon (falcon) from 2000 on. If not can I get a gearbox and fit it to a auto wagon? ie are all the mountings for the clutch, gear box etc there?

Yes it's possible. I'm not sure how easy it is, but its note an uncommon conversion. Theres a guide somewhere on the forums I think.

Now!

No manual wagons from factory. But have a look at XR8-AUwagon's wagon - not only has it become a 5 speed, but also a 5 litre!

GK and ClassicAU are two that I know of that have converted sedans from auto to manual. Wagons wouldn't be too different in terms of the bits you need.

FTG might be a good source of both info and parts (they are a site sponsor).

Actually there were about two made, special orders and a bit of extra cash. Series 2 if I remember right.

Technically there might have been 2, but in reality, it's easier to say none.

True as it wasn't a model they offered, but hey, I guess if you splashed enough cash, anyone will agree to make anything!

Hmmm, I've got a feeling they made factory AU 1 Forte 5 speeds?

Series 1 Forte wagons were available with the manual until the Smartshield update in May 1999. I should know, I tried to buy one in August 99 but was told I was a few months too late. There mightn't have been any made due to lack of orders, but the manual was in the spec.

Yep - I've heard that too, but rare as hen's teeth - actually, probably rarer.

That would be why they dropped it from the spec :
