a blue neon uleh!

Nah on a serious note, take it off, sand it back & spray with gloss black paint. Stick it back on & she'll look a million bucks.

OK so is this cowling off your EBII, or the EA pictured?

EA-EBI have a raised grey cowling. As PULLY6 said it's easiest to keep the raised cowling, however pull it off, sand it back & repaint black (something I shuold do to mine!) <-- think of it as a variation to a cut 'n' polish that you'd do to your car

A few people here have put the EBII-onwards lowered black cowling onto pre-EBII cars but there have been headaches along the way.

Stick with the existing cowling!

um ok you must be new at this.

AU is a completely different glass house. Go to the wreckers and get another one and paint that up. Ill be doing the same to mine.

The car looks like a EA to me... Most wreckers will sell the cowling for around $20 or so

Interesting... a sleeper-spec EBII restyled as an EA. You're like the opposite to InitialD :

So would a replacement black cowling fit up fine (I take it your last one fitted fine, and if this is the case, just get a replacement one the same as your old one)? I didn't know that the low black ones went all ty like the high grey ones. EA-EBIs have slightly difference dimensions (glass? firewall?) compared to EBII-ED, hence the different types of cowling. Stylez at the time also comes into play. For some reason everyone loved Taxi Grey in the 80s :ticking:

As for binning the old one --> : :Reverend:

You binned it? Oh well, lesson learned.
Head to U-Pull-It or pickapart or your local wrecker, grab a newie and spray it black.
