Default fitting fairmont garnish to EL?? Help?

Hey guys.

I just purchased a fairmont rear garnish for my EL. Can anyone who has fitted one of these onto a Futura or gli give me a rough idea of the best way to do it??

I was thinking run a line of tape where it should go, then mark the holes. Drill away, then remove tape and bolt up garnish.

Does anyone know if you can get a template for it???

that'd be the best way of doing it....
maybe draw it out on a piece of plywood, cut out the rough shape, then mark and drill the holes through the wood....
then tape the wood version with the holes to the bootlid and drill out the holes.......
that way the holes would be in the right space...
