Talking Which family car?

Ive decided to buy my missus another car to haul the ever expanding family around in. Weve got two EAs currently and i was gonna replace the rather worn out "S" station wagon with another wagon but in better condition. I reccon gas is the go with current fuel costs. Its gotta have air/ heaters, no climate control ( ive learnt that from our fairmont ghia with no heaters). And i think id stick with an auto as i have a bung left knee and my missus isnt real keen on changing cogs.
I guess i want something that is gonna give me minimal grief.

So anyways, has anyone got any tips or ideas regarding buying, reliability etc? Any input would be great.

it depends highly on what you're looking to spend
EF's are getting pretty cheap these days.

Yeah, even BA's are getting pretty cheap. Look at the early ones - 09/2002 was when they were released. Go to some ex fleet auctions. Had a customer tell me the other day that he could not justify buying a new one coz he found a second hand one 12/2002 white, 90000k's $12000.00 I'd say good buy, even with the k's
