Default flasher not working on xr8

hey guys, well today i picked up my new car, ive joined the windsor club and ive flashed my au3 xr6 back to stock and tryed to put the 98 generic tune on my au3 xr8 but the tuner box flashed and didnt load onto the car.

has anyone got any ideas why it wont load? its the first flash tuner box, all four orange lights flash once, then pause the 2 quick flashes from the lights

What brand of flash tuner is it mate? Most flash tune devices are VIN # locked to a particular vehicle. To use the flash tuner on ya new car you would need to have it unlocked from the old one and re locked to your new one.

No, It has to be unlocked from each vehicle before being locked to a new one. This can be done upto 5 times before it has to be sent back to the manufacurer to be rest again for another 5 vehicles.

Correct Buckie. Also, if it has been preloaded with tunes for an XR6, they are never going to work on the 8.
