I think you better have another loo at he specs of both cars as although the S7 is 12" longer than the SSC it is nearly 5" narrower and 2" lower than the SSC. With the wheelbases within 3/4 of an inch of each other.

So maybe the lotus exige that it was based on was on steroids

Noice I wonder if some one 6'2" and 110 kgs can fit in it
For a speed freak of a car it has piddly front tyres on it
But I have picked my colour choice Cobalt Blue

Didn't the Koeneigsigg (sp?) CCX break the Veyrons speed record? I'd still have the Veyron, as they said on Top Gear, at high speed all the others feel like thay are on the edge of self destruction while the Veyron is composed and effortless.

Am I the only one who doesn't really care about the top speed of supercars - top speeds that often require 7 miles of straight road to achieve?

Quarter mile, handling and standing mile are all more interesting to me.

Why should you? I mean honestly, if you have the money to own a Veyron/SCC/Koingseggggggggggggggg, then you'd also own the 7 miles of straight track to go with it!

am pretty sure that SSC is for Shelby Super Cars if i'm not mistaken???? ( not the same Shelby we all know and love, but a guy with the same last name who made his coin in medical supplies)
also heard it's an all alloy FORD base motor they start with. don't know what type tho. may be an alloy tall deck windsor small block like the one in the S7????

i have a dvd with a interview with the guys designing the ssc and they clearly state they started with a exige and a twin turbo LS motor (same motor as jay lenos toronado)

Ghiadude, it looks like a mc Claran to me, don,t get me worry, i,ll take on ownership of a SSC Ulltimate AERO any day. there,s just a problem with finance.

mick
Problem is your not, credit given where credits due the SSC is a FAST car theres no denying that.
Finance on an Aero : i doubt your the only one with trouble, i asked and got laughed at :

No its not, there is a youtube clip that shows the interviewer (some Amer-i-can car show) with the owner/designer of SSC its not Carroll Shelby. Sorry......

Well you're watching some bogus DVD, the SSC aero is based on a Lamborghini Diablo replica chassis.

You're probably thinking of Hennessey's Venom GT.

Who? Guys are FINANCIALLY EDUCATED & have made a fortune at the right time. The one thing thats missing from our schools these days, & never has been taught. & Only people in the right circles knows about becoming financially educated...... Or the rich sons of the fathers who made it, but they are usually FE too!

As for the HP, look at top doorslammers & fuelers. Its amazing how they do, but they do! plus its not often that these cars are taken to their top whack anyway, so it sort of is a waste of engineering.....
