Will not matter diddley..... Ford need to produce a cheaper fleet car again..
Eco friendly Tough as nuts Basic spec to keep costs down:- air, p/s steer and a radio is all fleet buyers need Cost effective spare sparts due to demand.......... Police, Taxis, Gov Depts and the private commercial sector alone would be 30k cars a year in just little old Oz...

They need vehicles that are much greener and can access 4-cylinder fleets where Holden can't follow. EB Mondeo, EB Falcon and TDCI Mondeo are vehicles that fit that bill nicely, good economy and low CO2. Something to upset Camry government and fleet sales.... |

Ford would also make more money in their parts sector as that would have a good profit margin for their consumables.

Toyota have a good system. High volume, small profit and then make money in the part sector. At least with fleets you know the servicing will be done at the dealer.

they had that on a string but the low returns did not justify continuing and dealers missed out on servicing too as major taxi companies do their own servicing. |
