Default EF Fairmont Clock

Hey guys,

Don't have an an owners manual, so hopefully someone on here will be able to help.

Was setting the clock in the car today, which was all good, but didn't understand what some of the functions are when setting it.

After pressing search and reset, so that I could actually change the time, i pressed search a few times to get a screen wth 3 zero's which can be increased. Is this a timer of some sort?

If search is pressed again, on the bottom line of the little lcd if scrolls through a number of 2 letter abreviations of some sort ie JL, AU, OC etc, and I have no idea what they mean.

Thanks.

JL, AU etc is the current month. You set time, am/pm, date month and year.

At least they go over 2000 on EF/ELs. On the EA, the years only go up to 1999. Obviously Ford weren't thinking the EA would make it to the year 2000! Sure makes it fun trying to find a year that has the same corresponding day / date combo (eg. Trying to find another year that has 11th November as a Friday)!
