Default Jag XK R experience

I was down off the mountain today and rang a mate of mine who I haven't spoken to for a few weeks and he informs me he's had a relapse in money conservation and bought Jaguar XK R Black Edition. Wow says me ... let's have a look. He agrees, so we meet at his place and go to the garage and here's this piece of pure car porn. I mean I've seen some horny cars in my time (I've driven another mate's Ferrari Superamerica) but this thing takes my breath away. Want to come for a drive he says ... NO I protest (yeah right) so off we go. The last quick car I had was an FG F6 and this thing is real fast let me tell you (just under 400 kw). Its got the same ZF 6 speed as the F6 but with paddle shift and it blips on the down change, has monster disc rotors and rides on 285 x 30 x 20's.

Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me but promise I'll get photos some time in the future. In the meantime here's a U-Tube of the exact car ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mekGEUmMCzs

that car is pure sex. My old man owned an 06 xk8 and yea it was same shape but not as sexy as that black beast.

I'm hoping my next car is a jag. I'd be a nice upgrade from the fg!

I love this car, if I was to own it it would have to be the XKR-S one though in the bright flat blue which looks like Bionic. I've seen one or 2 on the road in Sydney and deadset, this thing stands out more for me than any Lambo, Ferrari, AMG/M#, Aston etc - well maybe the Aston DBRS I see every now and then wins but the XKR is a fantastic looking car

Just to add some car Pr0n
Black Pack

XKR-S

I do like this XK series, took a bit to get used to the front when it first come out but the XKR quickly quashed any doubts.

I am a big fan of the XJ and would love to see a XJR.
I have seen a few XJs near the office and I do like driving past the Jag dealership on Malvern Rd there.

It doesn't matter who owns Jag as long as they can keep the $$ flowing without dictating design. It seems that is happening.
The next generation jags will be the ones completed under the ownership of Tata. I don't see anything changing.

Good one!!
Nothing like a Jaaaaaaaaag. However...if you look at an FG Falcon from certain angles and squint a bit, you can see certain resemblances with some current Jag sedans...

An Italian farmer I used to work for many years back had an immaculate Series One XJ6, and amazingly he used to wash it with dishwashing liquid and a sponge! He commented on how shiny our Cortina GT was, and asked if I could clean his car like that, so I took out all my cleaning gear and polishes, and did a good job on his XR6. From then on it was my job, once a week, to wash and polish his car for an extra $50 in my pay packet...and as a plus got to take it for a drive down to nearby Moore Park to buy my lunch...what a car!

I know people slap 350 Chev motors in them as they're lighter than the old twin cam six...but I wonder how one of those old Jags would go with a current model Falcon 4.0 six and six speed auto...?

Yeap, there's nothing like a Jaaaaag and nothing like the english Bowers and Wilkens 20 speaker 1200 watt stereo systems that go in the latest ones either. I prefer the latest XFR shape to the XK-R and I'd like one as my new daily but the size of the bribe i'd have to pay the Mrs to gain approval would be of biblical proportions. http://www.jaguar.com/nz/en/xf/xfgallery
