Default New GTHO

If Ford were to revive the GTHO name in its current Falcon model, would that have an impact on the price of genuine XW/XY GTHOs? Maybe they might go down in value?

It would depend on what the GT-HO badge was stuck on.

The current FPV GT / GT-P would need extensive work before even considering making a GT-HO version, and I don't necessarily mean alot more power.

Don't think so...After the time of the revival of the GT badge in 2003 X series GT's started to increase in value at a greater rate as did the old school Monaro's when the VX/VZ series came out.

I have said this before, and I will say it again:

Leave the GT-HO in the past. Keep it as an icon...

We all know how the reincarnation of the Torana went...

People ONLY want want something back because they don't have it anymore...those same people hardly ever buy what they're bleating for...

I would love to see FPV release a car as a last hurrah...something kickarse...just not a GT-HO...

If anything theyll go up in value. Especially if its performance sucks.

Do you think they would do this when the last Aussie Falcon runs off the line in 2016? Obviously with no GTHO badge.

I think they should do it using the GT500 engine. 5.8 SC 485kw/810Nm. 8 speed ZF option!

I don't reallllllllly want to get into this discussion but you got the better of me.

What extensive work would they need? Before you answer ..... remember of course what the HO was and how it was fitted out (Std Falcon .... not Fairmont and a delete radio option for starters.) ???

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't the r spec similar to the GTHO in theory, as in, both were high performance falcons with a few little goodies throw in to improve handling/performance? I am aware the r spec did not receive a power boost.
