Well not that long ago I was purely an X-Series chick with an XB & XF. Now i'm officially and owner of a 1997 EL Falcon. Long story short is I have pretty much purchased the car of my folks who have 'moved' onto a VX SS, so I know the history of the car and that it has had a fairly easy life.
It is rather standard with the only add ons being ROH Reflex mags and custom lambswool seatcovers, so yes there are no mods.......yet In the future I would like to lower the car and just put a decent soundsystem in it. Since it is going to be a daily driver, nothing major is going to happen under the bonnet in the near future.... but that can always change. Any suggestion on what I could possibly modify in the future are greatfully accepted!!! _2:

Nice EL! Looks very clean and straight.
I'd recommend you lower it a bit, tint the windows and colour coding the mirrors would look good too. Also, take the bonnet protector off, was the first thing I did to mine when I got it! Bonnet protector = Grandpa spec LOL ;)

Yes I agree the bonnet protector is grandpa spec, but if you do some of the other things that we discussed all will be good.
Plus once lowered I reckon a tickford body kit would be good - the olds used to have a EL Ghia 5.0 with wheels and bodykit - still see it around and still looks the goods. PS welcome to the mutant family (as discussed earlier with the nc)

Very nice The only thing to watch for at that age will be the head gasket. If the job is done properly it won't go again for another 10 years.
Also since no one has mentioned it, colour coded side mouldings to match the bumper inserts would be a nice cheap DIY upgrade. |

If you want to keep the bonnet protector to keep those stones away, paint it on the back side - looks a lot nicer!

Welcome aboard! I agree with the boys, bonnet protector is optional as ait can stop some chips from stones etc, extremely dark tint is awesome on white e series, mudflaps off if lowering or if you want you could do some performence mods.. Anyways have fun with it! Good choice!

Ahh maybe no.... would prefer the XF to be the tubbed out funny car!!!! Stoneguards really have to stay on, i do a lot of country dirt roads, and has saved the car heaps. I prefer forking out $45 for a new stone guard rather than $400 for a new bonnet.....
