What's interesting is to look around there and see which affordable mass-market cars will see a second generation with similar numbers. MX-5, B-Max and Land Rover Defender, among few others. The rest seem like niche, unpopular or old tooling. Why I thought this would be relevant, is because it offers a big picture look at how much longer Falcon can continue to be a business case. Taken as a whole, Falcon and Territory appear to have the combined numbers to be feasible for a while yet you'd think.
Commodore is #384 and beats the Lexus IS, among a few others.

You should standardise the values based on the population each model is sold to, in order to get a more appropriate number.

There were also 10,000 Chev Caprices, 1500 Buick Park Avenus and 700 Chev Luminas, which are also some rear wheel drive Aussie cars.

You start to realise perhaps Ford and Holden have a real oppurtunity to make global RWD cars.

The fake Mazda BT-50 (JMC Tiger) sells more than the real one.

Very surprised at how low on the list the i30 was, and was very impressed at where the Focus was. To be honest if I didn't see the list I would have assumed it was the other way around.

Not all badge engineered cars have been grouped together, ie the Suzuki SX4 and the Fiat Sedici are one and the same, yet have different listings.

That DR2 thinggo is a re-badged Cherry... hardly worth a mention, that Aston Martin Zagato on the other hand...

That list really opens your eyes to the amount of badge engineered cars there are in the world, and the amount of design cues the Chinese are borrowing from the established brands.

Would have been a hard list to put together.

It does go to show how separate the Global business units where once operating that the same name was used for 2 completely different types of cars. They surely have come along way under "One Ford"!!

I believe the Jetta runs on a shortened Passat platform now, as opposed to an extended Golf platform.... but in saying that who really knows
