I see extra the extra warranty as money in the bank as far as buying economic new transport, not that i would buy a kia, but it seems to me that way anyway, as i would expect some others to see it that way too.
I did once have a thought at the economic benefits of a cheap new asian car with a big warranty........ but i quickly gave myself a series of upper cuts to the face till i came to my senses ! Maybe i'm wrong but companies like kia and hyundai among others seem go the safe route and build mostly conventional point A point B motor cars on mass for mr and mrs average, by that i mean they don't go out on a limb and build a special performance model while pushing the limits and or taking risks, however they load up their very standard cars with enough kit and comforts to appease the the average punter at a bargain price. |

Regardless of how many years warranty Kia are offering I would rather spend my dollars on something else, I see plenty of the cheaper Asian cars come in as trade ins. Basically they are worth nothing.. These day's a lot of car manufacturers have good deals like fixed price servicing, extended warranty options, 0% finance.

What would a Kia be worth after 7 years ?? A carton of beer, box of spuds, leg of ham........

As with others, there is nothing in the current Kia range that interests me. However I would recommend a number of their cars to family and friends that aren't motoring enthusiasts.

Agreed and well said, thank you. I see lots of Kias and Hyundais here. It's quantity/price v. quality/price. There's way more of those because they're easy to afford. But also see them in accidents and they take on the most damage too. NOT worth it to me. But then again that's my person opinion. And a humble one too.

Kia were a nightmare trying to fight for repairs to customers cars just outside their 3 year warranty (anything sold prior to 1/1/08), I can only imagine what they would be like for the 5 year - let alone 7 year warranties....
