What is my car worth?
Falcon 68 XT, factory 302w, toploader, gt grille, nolathane through all suspension, XF power steering (new recon steering box), all new shocks, recon brake master, new twin 2 1/4" exhaust, only rust is bubbles in the front of passenger dogleg and spots on bottom drivers guard. Runs on LPG and just got new valve stem seals. Also supposedly ex-cop car. Thanks. |

Hmm, dunno. End of year before last my dad bought an XT ute with 351C, C10, lowered (can't remember what was in it then though), good interior (not A1, but pretty good) with a newish twin 2 1/2" system for about $1500 or maybe a little less. Ran well, no leaks etc. Had a couple bit of rust that were cut out and fixed up, other than that, pretty straight.
He was gonna give the car to me.. but decided he wanted it for his own project :p Don't know if a ute is worth more than a sedan with XT's.. But that's how much he payed. |

woah, serious? the cheapest i have seen an xt ute is $4500.
for the stocko sedans on car sales the cheapest is $3500 for a 6 banger mine is registered and on the road, not a project car in pieces i could strangle your old man just for hearing that =) |

They may be priced at 4500 and 3500, but the question is, are they selling for 4500 and 3500.
Often what price we would like for our cars and their actual worth is two very different numbers.

Yeah i know that all to well, damn buyers market.
My mint condition 289w XR fairmont only got me $5000, still annoyed that I sold it. I know I will never get back what I have spent on it, but a Tornado ute is awfully tempting. If the car isnt worth much Im not wasting anymore money on it and I will just make the move. |

You cant beat classic steel dude. Unless you value airconditioning, comfort, handling and ride or something silly like that.

The reason they didnt come with aircon was to ensure the you sweat so the vinyl can do its job and keep you in your seat!
As for handling, nothing better than bump steer it makes those long highway journeys interesting. I bet no one fell asleep at the wheel And lastly for the ride its got that nice soothing wavey motion to help relax you whilst dealing with the other problems! At least the steel bumpers come in handy at shopping centres, who said you have to get out to move the trolleys? |

yeah i will try take some pics tonight
i was told by the previous owner it was a cop car, i cant even find the ID plate let alone the codes ive only got the body number. Maybe Im looking in the wrong spots. Body and engine numbers match GC14653C bucket seats with dickie seat in the middle, blue interior, blue exterior with a white roof. |
