If an F6 is $54990, the brembos, power output including stronger internals, larger intercooler and I don't care what anyone says but an FPV with 19's rides better than an xr with the luxury pack 19"s. I know this doesn't make sense but if you drive these things as often as I do, it glares at you. Oh, you also get a free driveday, build certificate and a bit more street cred. If you don't think that's worth 9k, then you are proof that some people cant be helped

Here is the question of the day, If you had 120k to launch on a car, would you buy a 2nd hand C63 with say 30,000km on the clock or would you buy a brand new GT and an F6. I reckon the latter for me!

Id buy an F6, and spend the change on a MKII RS and spend the change on some mods.

Why can't we have both? A performance car loaded with tech and gadgets? They don't have to be mutually exclusive.

It's also a shame that if you are in the market for an Aussie V8, the GEN-F Clubsports are easily available for under $60K.

Weight of useless tech you use once then never again costs you in braking, acceleration, handling, tyre life, traction and even fuel economy.

BMW and Mercedes-Benz have both proven that that can be overcome by increasing power and driveability and employing weight reduction measures in other areas such as using aluminium or carbon fibre panels.

But that all costs money, what would you rather a fast car expensive with tech you don't use regularly or a cheaper and faster car with the tech you use regularly?

dont get me wrong
the f6 is nice (the gt is prob outta my league price wise) and i did look thru them on carsales.com....

but, id rather spend one tenth the cost on the G6ET and it'd be as quick or quicker and still have all the luxury specs that he G6E has

i saw it includes demo models too so you might even be able to pick up an f6 for near on 50 grand?

But the newer V8 powered M5 is heavier than the older V10 powered version.

Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG
0-100 4.3 sec
400m 12.2 sec

(Motor Trend tested the AWD version, which is unfortunately not available in Australia, and did 0-60 mph in 3.4 sec and the quarter mile in 11.6 sec).

FPV GT R-Spec
0-100 4.5 sec
400m 12.6 sec

As I said, tech and performance are not mutually exclusive.

In comparision tests,the VF GTS failed to equal or beat the AMG E63 times,so the R-Spec isn't doing too badly with those times considering the Merc is a 5.5L V8 twin turbo.

Yep true .... I paid similar for a demo ..... but the RRP has been dropped and there is now room for negotiations even further. I wouldnt be surprised if there are 59k drive away deals on low K demo;s ...... if dealers are willing to have some demos that is!

Same here mate, I paid $60K Kiwi for my beautiful Neo Blue BF2 Typhoon back in 2007 and it was a fantastic car at a brilliant price, never missed a beat, not one single quality control or warranty problem and went like a racehorse for 3 years. Worst motoring decision of my life was selling it. These current F6 deals are bloody brilliant, if people can't see the value in the car they're either blind or should get an urgent check up with their doctor to see if they still have a pulse.

I said 120k. Ranger XLT and a turbo would leave you with 20k change. You could go a Wildtrak and an F6 with 120k. Now that sounds pretty damn good
