400BHP @ 6500 rpm for brocks 81 VC. Think you will find the XD had 15-20 more but its all speculative.

Maybe you should read this if referring to TruBlu.
http://www.shannons.com.au/club/news...l-racing-hero/ Not the best article but yeh DJR took advantage of as error in the homologated weight for the XD |

i was referring to tru-blu not a bad read but it now starts a new question what did CAMS mess up with the min weight with the xd i know ford pulled out of racing due to a argument with CAMS so this must be what it was over

Story goes that CAMS accidently homologated the weight of the 6 cylinder XD and not the V8. Tru Blu was built to those specs and it was discovered when someone took the car to be weighed with almost no fuel in it - Dick had always made sure that there was a min amount of fuel in the tank to "protect" the car's actual weight. But when the car was almost empty that's when it was noticed that it was lighter than other XD racers of the period.
He wasn't cheating or anything like that, it was just that he was able to get the car down to that homologated weight so it had an obvious advantage if anyone had bothered to investigate.

I saw a vid once of DJ explaining greenstuff and he said that every thought he had over 400HP but it was just the cars were so light.

"When CAMS asked him (Murray Carter) to help, he happily obliged. He told them the weight of the new Falcon was 1265kg - what he didn't mention was that this was based on the weight of the ute! What a legend" Go to read more of this book hehe
