When you come to think about it, English is an example of social injustice:

Question: "How do I get a 10 year badge?"
Answer: "Be a member for 10 years" It's like asking "what time is the 7:30 report on?"

But if you give out 5 year badges, then people will want one after one year. Where will it end?

I would like a 5.5 badge soon though. Preferably served up with a letter of contrition expressing great sorrow for the inequality perpetrated on my personage... |

July 1st 2016. My demands have changed. No longer do I want a 5 year recognition of my inestimable services to the AFF community. I now demand to be recognized with a 6 year icon. In just one year, I have added all manner of incalculably useful posts from how to effectively groom one's toe nails for fun and profit, to a demand for a black pudding plebiscite, a topic that keeps mysteriously disappearing!
I however, do not trust the powers that be to be forthcoming with my just reward. Hence I demand attention that will force some action on the issue. Are you with me? What do I want? A 6 year badge! When do I want it? A 6 year badge... |

I thought that it was agreed at the last committee board meeting that we were in 4 years time going to discontinue the 10 year badge and implement the 15 year one

May I suggest superyob fill out an application form to be granted a 6 year badge.
Before we can arrange an application form to be sent out however we do need to confirm your identity. This is a fairly straight forward process, you simply need to bring 200 points of identification to an Australian Post Office, that provide this service (conveniently located at Kiwirrkurra) After your identity has been confirmed, the process is relatively straight forward (just acquiring approval from local, state and finally federal authorities) Design of your badge will then be undertaken (a small fee will be payable at this stage) and we expect the design to be finalised in 12 - 18 months (depending on weather and if the design is considered offensive to any fauna and flora) Once complete we simply need to see your last 13.5 years tax returns and your badge shall be awarded. If we can be of any assistance feel free to contact us

Yes, yes i am and i have noticed one of your post appears to be during work hours as such, you will notice a slight deduction in your salary this week, due to a 'bandwidth' charge upone calculation this charge equates to approx $0.002. So the deduction is relatively small, we did how spend and additional $14,789 on consultation charges (it tech support, accounts and legal support) which have also been deducted

geez I thought if you were his boss you wouldn't have told him bout it but had a memo written up but not sent then called it a training exercise then wrote it off on tax with the ongoing depreciation off on going badges

I think its an "Overwhelming social injustice" that ive come on today , ive even read this thread again and ive recontributed to it again and with no badge of recognition
and it an "Overwhelming social injustice" that I have to go to work tomorrow and it an "Overwhelming social injustice" that at this point of time I have to be overwhelmed by things like being social isn't that just an injustice in its self now in going to refit my jacket and go back to my overwhelming padded room where I feel loved

I'm surprised it's taken this long for this to appear, or am I just starting to show my age now?
