As above,
Looking to fit the tickford XR rear skirt from an AU2/3 (not the rebel bar) and was wondering if I need an AU2/3 rear bumper to go with it? The rest of the cars kit is AU2 and I'd like to finish it off. Cheers, Mike. |

All rear bars are the same (except rebel) so you would fit the skirt to your bumper.

You have to cut the base to make it fit then sickaflex the bottom edges they dont just cover the original bar

I don't have one yet, trying to work out what I need before going any further. The question is will a S2/3 rear skirt attach to a S1 rear bar??? I am hesitant to say that Pridenjoy may be wrong (ducks for cover) but there are differences in the standard rear bars between the S1 and S2/3's. They 'fattened' the rear bar to compete with VT and it's bulbous rear. What i don't know is if where the S2/3 rear skirt meets the rear bumper is any different. I have read that the S1 is narrower and since I missed out on grabbing the one that was near me I can't exactly trial fit or measure it up. Basically do I need a S2 bumper to fit an S2/S3 tickford skirt? Cheers, Mike. |

Thanks mate and you're right it's always good to learn things!
(I am!) Whilst I'm still ducking, I'm going to throw these out there. Apparently from the same S1 AU pre and post S2 bumper fitment. S1: S2: Source: http://www.fordmods.com/post1213530.html Question is, does the bumper change where the skirt lines up? I'm thinking it might looking at those two. Cheers, Mike. |

I hear that the S1 Fairmont's rear bumper is different to the S1 Forte/XR as well. 20mm longer?
Might explain why pridenjoy's looks so damn similar! Apparently the optioned S1 Fairmont tickford bodykit does not fit a S1 Forte unless you grab the bumper as well. Just to make it more confusing, thanks Ford! So I'm pretty sure I need the S2 bumper and matching S2 skirt. Happy to be corrected, anyone know??? Cheers, Mike. |
