Dear All,
I am hoping someone out there can help with this one. My eb2 falcon intermittently stops then won't restart for several hours, sometimes overnight. I have changed all sensors, with known good ones off another eb2, replaced the module, distrbutor, coil, condenser, plugs and leads. The AC dosen't work, however the compressor clutch operates if power is directly supplied. Indicator lights and fan all work, just no compressor. AC was fine right up to the first failure. I have back probed the computer; throttle postion, air, engine temps and oxygen sensor are within voltage parameters. I have also checked fuel pump and ECU relays for operation and continuity. The car runs/idles fine right up until it cuts out. At the time of cut out relays can be heard to operate. I am absolutely lost with this one I hope someone out there might be able to help. Thanks in advance, Mark |

Sounds like you might have a bad ECU with all the other things you replaced and the ECU sends power to the relays.

I've also heard of bad fuel pumps doing this.
