A true measure would be how many patents Ford have lodged for technology they have developed.

Really? Thought the only thing Ford was a leader in, is customer dissatisfaction. If it wasn't for the durability, versatility and strength of the Falcon, and bar a few models not sold in Aus, I would never have considered driving a Ford.
