Default Forward message on Samsung S 5??

I can't forward texts on my Samsung s5. I've Googled it and all the info I see is press and hold on the text and "forward" will come up. But all I get is "delete", "copy text" or "save attachment".

You might have to reset it to factory defaults. But before you do that, check to see if there's an update available for it. The update process rebuilds a lot of the core components.

There should be a March 2017 security patch on it. Is yours carrier-supplied or bought outright unbranded?

Mine's not a Samsung but bought outright anyway, and still on 6.0.0

My Wifes Samsung with Voda just updated last week to 6.0.1

There's no point if your phone isn't rooted.

OK, I just manually updated it but its only security patch 1/2/2017 and I checked and there's still no forwarding. I'll call into Optus tomorrow and get them to do it. If you hear screaming - it won't be me - just some unfortunate Optus employee being decapitated.

Back up your photos and other content and factory default it.

^^^ I would do the above as a last resort.

Stupid question, have you turned the phone off, left it for 10 or so minutes and switched it back on?

Went to an Optus store today and the helpful young lady pointed out the the phone was set in "Easy Mode", so she took it out of that and put it in "WTF mode is this?" and now it shows: delete - copy text - forward - lock - copy to sim - share - view message details ... followed by an extensive tutorial into the complex art of line dancing. Well I'll be.
